Job Description:
|
The task of Worship Leaders is to work closely with the Project Leader, the spiritual and temporal leader on the project, to inspire and challenge participants to "Follow God. Reach Our World."
|
|
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
|
- Spiritually direct/oversee with the Project Leader aspects of the project.
- Help groups achieve their goals while training them to achieve and adopt the Great Commission objectives.
- Conduct debriefs of God's work each day focusing on the Five Objectives.
- Serve the group leaders so they can attend to the spiritual growth of their students.
- Creating an atmosphere of worship by identifying where participants are spiritually and meeting them there with God's love.

Required Training:
|
In order to become a Worship Leader there is an application process that must be competed. A Worship Leader must fulfill the following requirements:
- Have a personal relationship with Jesus
- Understand and practice Listening Prayer
- Have a ministry mind-set on mission trip
- At least 19 years old and 1 year out of high school
- Prior experience leading worship in a group setting
- Can both sing and play guitar (or piano) well

- Attend a training or be conference:
February 25-28, 2010 Gainesville, GA
March 26- April 2, 2010 Atlanta, GA (on project)

Paperwork:
|
If you plan to speak or lead worship on an AIM mission project, please be sure I get these things into your file:
- Application
- A reference letter from your pastor and another adult
- A cassette, CD, or video of at least one of your speeches, messages, worship sessions, or presentations
- A current medical release
- A form W-9 for the accounting department
Prior to departure for the field, all required documentation must be on file with the Leadership Development Team in AIM's Gainesville office. This includes a completed two-page application, reference form, and a copy of the notarized medical release.

Medical Release:
|
We need a new medical release every year. If you are 19 or older and not currently under the care of a doctor, you need not get a physical or the doctor's signature. We need a notarized copy of your medical release on file in the office if you are being treated for anything. The original stays with you during the project and someone else should know where it is in case of emergency.

Making Travel Plans:
|
|
Whether you plan on driving or flying, AIM will pay for your travel as long as it is approved by AIM's Project Staffing Coordinator prior to booking and is in accordance with AIM's financial policies. Worship Leaders are responsible for investigating the most cost effective and practical way to get to and from the project.
When scheduling your travel, please plan to arrive a couple days before the project begins so you will have time to meet with the other project staff. Be sure that the Project Staffing Coordinator has your travel itinerary well in advance of your arrival date so any necessary passenger pickup arrangements can be made.
