Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Is this a paid internship?
No, this is a non –paid internship.  However once at the location your food and housing is covered.
  2. What expenses do I have to cover?
You need to pay for your travel expenses to the training in Gainesville, GA as well to the location you're serving in plus any extras you decide to purchase during your time there. For example, if you don't like what the teams are eating one night and want to stop by Burger King or the grocery store to pick up something else, you will have to pay for that.
  3. Do I have to find my own housing?
No, housing is provided. What housing looks like is dependent upon location. You will need to bring your own bedding, however.
  4. What are the dates of this internship?
Dates to be determined and will vary by location.   Typically the end of May or beginning of June until the beginning of August.

As long as the total time you need off is five days or less we can work it into the schedule and it won't be a problem. Make sure to let us know well in advance to guarantee that you'll get your time off.
  8. Can family and friends come to visit me?
Friends and family can come to visit you on your time off. Visitors are discouraged while leading projects and anyone that comes to visit while you're leading a project must be approved by your Ministry Coordinator.
  9. Can I work just part of the summer?
We would really like you to commit to the entire length of the program you are applying for, which varies by location.
