Well the team successfully finished their week in Granada, Nicaragua. I could see GOd working in every one of their lives, so much so that by the end of the week, we were following more what the spirit said, then what our schedule was telling us to do. The team ended up doing away with what was planned on Friday, and instead, saw to it that a man had a wheelchair ramp built for his home, the kids ministry at El Puente had supplies, and the wonderful kids at Corazon Contento (the school for disabled children) were shown love. Also the girls on the team got to go to the hospital and pass out gifts to the new mothers there. It was an eye opening experience for everyone and I am so glad we followed the spirits leading. Overall it was a great trip and even though some of us got sick from the new Nica food, it was amazing to see the love of God shining out from many of the Nicaraguan faces at El Puente, Corazon Contento, the barrios, and the hospital. The team has gone home with many souvenirs, their new found Spanglish language, and many many pictures and memories! :)

Coming to Nicaragua, seeing the extreme poverty; the state that alot of these Nicaraguans are in, breaks your heart. But the joy that the little Nica kids show, and the smiles that they give us as we play with them, brings you to your knees. Because these kids have nothing, and yet they have everything. They are happy. Especially seeing the love at "Corazon Contento", the school for disabled kids here. Most of them have mental disabilities, but they have the ability to love. The team has been able to go to Corazon a couple times, as well as to play with kids in the barrio, and to do a prayer walk through two of the barrios near El Puente. God has been speaking to each one of them and as the week passes, we are finding things that God has called us to do. The woman will be going to an all girls orphanage here to minister (if possible) and play with the kids, and also the baseball ministry has been great for the guys (and girls too) to participate in. Many memorable stories are being made here and I know God has been walking us through this week, holding our hands and never letting us go. He is our strength, our hope, our guide. Without him we are nothing. Pray for health for the team as they finish the week.
