| Biography: | I was in my early 30's when I came to know The Lord, 7 years after receiving my University degrees. It was then that I discovered the truth of God's Love for His creation, and what my responsibility is in my personal relationship to Him. As a pilot, I began my missionary journey with ChristianAire International, flying kids over to the Bahamas for weekend missions trips (I lived in South Florida at the time). In 1989 I made my first short term mission trip to Bolivia which lasted 3 weeks. The following year I flew to Kenya for a month afterwhich, I was certain that I was going to be a term missionary in Africa. God, however, had other ideas. It took me almost 10 years before I began to actually "Listen" to God and in so doing realized that if I was going to bear fruit in God's economy, I had to "Follow God...To Reach The World". It was then that God challenged me to be a "modern day Ezekiel", to go and "Prophesy Life into Dry Bones" (Ezekiel 37). He further revealed to me that the "..valley of dry bones" was much of the Evangelical Church in America. In working for Adventures In Missions, leading Short Term Missions Trips, I observed that the participants of those trips came away with new vision, new passion and a desire for new knowledge and wisdom for their Christian experience, in other words, Renewed Spiritual Life! I observed that the Short Term Mission venue allowed The Body of Christ to "make the connection between church and the real world, discover what God’s call is on Their lives, And most importantly, discover who they are in Christ", and they did so with renewed vision and passion. God continues to reveal new and exciting things to me every year, as He draws me ever closer to Himself. I have worked for 18 years with and for Adventures In Missions as a Project Leader, Trainer and Teacher in Leadership Development and Coordinator of new ministry relationships in Ministry Development. |
