The Edge Missions
Sleep, eat, and serve alongside the destitute and downtrodden of the area. These mission trips are unique in that you live with those whom you are serving, giving your group a deeper understanding of what life is like for the less-fortunate as your eyes are opened to the realities of poverty.

 New Orleans
You will live and serve alongside those who have lost everything to Hurricane Katrina. Your team will take up residence in an abandoned house that AIM has repossessed, where you will get to experience what life as a “squatter” is like.
 Matamoros
Just over the border, you will use the Gateway missions base as a launching point for your daily ministry. By partnering with local churches and visiting small villages in the area, you will get a glimpse of what life is like for the people of northern Mexico.
 Dallas
During the day, you will serve food at local soup kitchens and partner with shelters in the area. At night, your group will have to make tough choices that plague homeless people every day, like spending the night in a cardboard box after a hot supper or climbing into a warm bed with an empty stomach.
 Appalachia
A trip to Appalachia will give you a feel for how much different life can be in the mountains of Kentucky. In this “cross-cultural” experience, your group will visit families and engage in relational ministry that will challenge their understanding of poverty and give them a fresh perspective on the issue.
 Denver
There are ample opportunities to encounter the poor in the Denver metro area. At an inner-city ministry where struggling families and individuals come to spend the night and learn practical life skills, your team will spend the trip living in community with society’s marginalized.
 Nashville
Music City USA is a crossroads of different cultures and lifestyles. With frequent drifters that pass through the area, it is home to many urban ministries and homeless shelters. Your group will see what homelessness is like for men, women, and even children as you partner with these groups.
 Philadelphia
Poor educational opportunities often leave the residents of Philadelphia with a heartbreaking sense of despair. Those in the community are hungry for the dignity, hope, and compassion that only Christ can offer. You will partner with local ministries to meet the needs of the poor, preaching the Gospel with your actions, as well as your words.
