| Ministry Detail |
Project Overview:
Sitting at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, the "Mile-High City" has typical inner-city problems: gang-related violence, a large homeless population, prostitution, and drug-dealing, at risk neighborhoods. Many local churches and ministries are working together to reach out to their community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Your team will be partnering with these groups.
Ministry Description:
Creative options for ministry in Denver include free car washes, serving coffee and donuts at a bus stop in the morning, children's ministry in a nearby park, VBS at safe house, and homeless assistance missions, outreach through music events, clothing and food distribution, prayer walking, and sports outreach.
Groups should come prepared with performance and ministry skills such as dramas, testimonies, singing, mime, puppets, and teaching. Programs can be presented in detention centers, homeless shelters, parks, the 16th Street Mall, and other open-air venues.
Groups could assist with clean up and renovation of an outreach center. This center offers language assistance, tutoring, mothers of pre-schoolers classes, prayer and support.

| Dress Code & What to Bring
|
|
|
Dress Code:
We do require all trip participants, leaders, and staff to adhere to a dress code on each of our EDGE mission projects. We do this to show respect for God, respect for ourselves, and respect for others. Please help us achieve this goal by teaching your group that our dress code isn’t because we’re extremists, but because we love God, we wish to honor His creation, and we don’t wish to cause others to stumble. You can find specific guidelines in your M101 manual or by contacting your EDGE representative.
