 | "Yesterday I helped teach 60 children about when Jesus fed the 5000 and then walked on water. 14 children accepted Christ!"

| | "I want to heal every sick child, fill every tummy, and turn every frown into a smile. While I can't, I trust that God loves these little ones even more than I do- and that He has not forgotten them." | --Julie |

Project Overview:
|
Located in the heart of East Africa, Uganda is a land full of jungle, nourished by the powerful Nile River, and torn by violence. The problem of child soldiers and the LRA (Lord Resistance Army) is widely known now. But Uganda struggles with other issues, like HIV/AIDS (it ranks 14th in the world) and poverty (35% of the population exist below the poverty line). Yet inside this troubled nation lies a profound hope. In all, 41% of the population is Roman Catholic and 42% is Protestant. While there are many in this country who need to come to Christ, the Church needs encouragement and discipleship.

Ministry Description:
|
Your team will partner with Helping Hands Ministry. The team will minister at a school for orphans, where you will provide friendship, Bible studies, education and present the gospel to the children. You will also work alongside Ugandans who are trying to reach their peers with outreach events. There might also be opportunities for the team to work with local churches in the bush once a week.
