Project Overview:

Work Crew is a mission program designed to serve and support others who minister the Gospel on short-term missions. Each week, youth groups travel to our missions base in Matamoros, Mexico to participate in short term mission trips. Work Crew plays a vital role in supporting these short-term mission projects. Work Crew is a team of Christian high school and college-age young adults who live and serve together for 5 weeks. They serve by keeping the facility clean and running smoothly for the mission teams based there. Work Crew members also receive spiritual discipleship and have ministry/mission opportunity. Are you a ready to SERVE by WORKING? If so, Work Crew is for you! You'll get sweaty and dirty, but you'll love every minute of it!

Ministry Description:

Your team will play a key role in our efforts to bring the Gospel of Christ to this remote area through relational evangelism and simple relationship building. You will have the opportunity to meet people where they are, in their rural, indigenous communities. Some of the communities you will reach are known and frequented by only locals; forsaken and forgotten by the outside world.\

You’ll have a opportunities to participate in various outreaches like children’s ministry, feedings programs for the poor and hungry, visitations to a local orphanage, and sports evangelism. You may also have the chance to reach out through music, preaching, nursing or other practical skills.

Cost:

$895 which includes food and housing. (Cost of travel included for the duration of the trip except from your home to Gainesville, GA and back.)

Location:

Training Camp will be held in Gainesville, GA at the Adventures in Missions ministry headquarters.  Upon completion of training camp, participants will travel to the Gateway, Adventures In Missions’ mission base outside of Matamoros, Mexico, just across the U.S.-Mexico border from Harlingen and Brownsville, TX.
