In Missions' Logo
Did you notice our new logo? The Adventures In Missions compass now includes two hands, reaching out to touch.
We’ve all heard the sayings to give a hand, lend a hand, or extend the hand of friendship. They all apply to the work of missionaries. That’s why we chose a pair of hands to represent Adventures In Missions.
Being Jesus' Hands
We like to think of Jesus’ hand extended in grace to someone who doesn’t know Him yet. If that person trusts, if that person grasps His hand, there’s a stimulating connection between the human and divine. When we let God work through us – when we partner with Him to “be Jesus” to people - we become His hands. By listening to God and following where He leads, together we get to meet needs, build meaningful relationships, and share our faith with people in desperate need of Jesus.
Hands of Partnership
It’s not just about our giving, though; there’s real partnership in the mission field. While church teams serve and share, local hosts provide the framework that makes it effective. They know best what the local needs are, as well as who may be most receptive to our help. And they’re the ones still in the trenches when we leave; they faithfully love and serve their flock, and provide the follow-up and discipleship new believers need. Finally, these pastors know a well-kept secret: how to teach and encourage us even more than we’ll help them. We need each other - the hands go both ways.
Adventures In Missions is blessed to be a part of this, bringing together partners who go and partners who stay. As we train groups, prepare hosts, and arrange the logistics, we bring participants to and through their chosen missions. We extend a hand full of resources and resourcefulness to those partners who join God on some of the greatest mission adventures of the 21 st century.
As we Follow God ... there’s lots He wants to show us
about His Kingdom, the world, and even ourselves.
Adventures In Missions' mission is
