Missions 101 Training

Preparation is crucial to the effectiveness of your short-term mission project – in fact we would go so far as saying that your trip begins with your pre-launch training. Whether you are a youth leader preparing your group or an individual getting ready to go on a trip, Adventures In Missions has developed the Missions 101 program to equip you for effective and powerful ministry. Missions 101 is a set of practical teachings, tools and exercises that will help prepare you spiritually and let you know what to expect on your AIM mission trip. This training is designed to be accompanied by a Missions 101 Manual, which will be provided to you electronically once your deposit has been paid. Your Admissions Representative will be following up with you as you walk through your training, and will be available to answer any of your questions. We have two options to accommodate your needs:

    Introduction to Missions 101

    Missions 101: Introduction

This video will introduce you and/or your group to the curriculum you will need to be prepared for your Adventures in Missions trip, as well as to the interactive teaching model you’ll be following in your preparation.

    Video 1: How God Speaks

    Video #1: How God Speaks

This video is about having a relationship with God and how conversation flows out of all relationships. God wants to speak to us, and we need to learn how to listen. In this teaching session, we want to first build a common understanding of how God speaks to us, and then how to discern what he is saying.

    Video 2: Listening Prayer

    Video #2: Listening Prayer

This video is about moving from the different ways that God speaks to us to actively disciplining ourselves in listening prayer time.

    Video 3: Sharing Your Faith

    Video #3: Sharing Your Faith

This video is about how to share your faith through a personal testimony. While everyone’s story is different, our job is to simply share what God has done.

    Video 4: Building Relationships

    Video #4: Building Relationships

This video is about building relationships and how the community we share with one another affects those around us.

    Video 5: Ask the Lord

    Video #5: Ask the Lord

This video is about what it means to know God intimately and how meaningful service flows out of that relationship. The best way to serve the Lord is to talk with him and listen.
