You’ll not find a Christian camp with a greater reach and impact than this one. From all over the Southwest, young Navajo, Zuni, Apache, and Pueblo leaders trained during the summer camps are already making a difference among their people. Hundreds of kids enjoy this camp in New Mexico every summer. But the large facility demands a healthy amount of maintenance and repairs, and the staff needs help to keep things running smoothly. That’s where your team can make a difference.
What will we be doing?
Spring mission teams like yours make it possible to keep a huge ministry like this one ready to operate at peak efficiency and looking good for the coming season. This is a work/service mission, but you’ll have several opportunities to personally touch the lives of Native youth. You’ll also have the opportunity to bless and encourage Broken Arrow staff!
It’s time to roll up your sleeves and dive in!
Minor work projects: Everything from repairing a go-kart track to working at the horse corral to fixing up the shooting and archery range to digging holes and painting the walls.
Often times the summer camps can be draining on the staff. They facilitate eight large camps during the summer, broken up by age group from kids at a variety of tribes in the area. You’ll have the opportunity to pray for and encourage them in their work.
Where will we be staying?
On the lower level of the lodge, you’ll be staying in bunk beds or single beds. The females will be on one end and males on the other. Showers, bathrooms and dining will all be in this building as well. The dining hall is directly upstairs from where you’ll stay. Meals will be prepared by the staff, which your team will become close with over the course of the week.
Activate your youth to live for Christ today!
Whether you’re a mom or dad looking for a family trip or a youth pastor interested in taking your youth group on a mission trip, New Mexico may be a great fit for you.
You are raising up a generation of world changers. It's time to help them put their faith into action!
