Nepal is home to the world’s tallest mountain: Everest. It looms 28,000 feet over the fertile plains and dusty city streets peppered with colorful prayer flags draped from every rooftop. With Buddhism and Hinduism as the country's main religions, the smell of incense lingers in the air. Just a few minutes in Nepal leads to the realization that this land is a spiritual battleground.
Even so, Christianity is on the rise - especially after the earthquake that devastated this tiny mountain kingdom on April 15, 2015. With nowhere else to turn, homes in shambles, and loved ones injured or gone, the light of Christ is beginning to shine. Churches are growing, and entire families are responding to the hopeful call of the Saviour.
Visiting families in the city slums, sports ministry, and teaching local children are the active parts of your ministry in Nepal, but you will go so much deeper in that. You will grow in your intimacy with the Lord as you step into prophetic ministry and preaching/encouragement in local churches, and you will wage war on your morning prayer walks as you stand with local believers and battle for the soul of this great nation.
The Gospel is gaining ground in this great mountain region.
Will you be part of expanding its reach?
