You want to live a life that matters. You want to feel significant and empowered. You read about the followers of Jesus, and long for that kind of mission — where living out your faith means hearing the voice of God and changing lives.
You want to go to the next level with God. You want a community centered on Christ.
Adventures in Missions has taken more than 115,000 people on mission trips around the world. Through our short and long-term programs, we help and train people from all walks of life to discover the world, who Jesus is, and what Jesus has called them to: to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28) and be his witness to the ends of the earth (Acts 1).
Experience firsthand the voice of God, serve others in high-need ministries, and make a real, tangible difference in the lives of others.
If you want to join a Christ-centered community committed to doing what the first generation of disciples did: sharing the Gospel, feeding the hungry, healing the sick, and hearing the voice of God... then it’s time for you to join us in...
One of the oldest cultures on earth, Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee. Literature and archaeological finds date back to Bible times—including the servant from Ethiopia mentioned in the book of Acts. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church even claims to be the modern-day home of the Ark of the Covenant. But despite its rich beauty, culture, and history, Ethiopia is a land of deep heartbreak.
You will stay in a town where many children have lost at least one parent (and many have lost both) due to HIV and tuberculosis, and remind these children that they are known and loved by God.
You'll spend a lot of time with kids in a children's village, playing and laughing with children. You'll play sports and could teach English or VBS, as you get to know them and their stories. There also will be opportunities for things like painting, gardening, and other community development projects.
You'll share God's love as you explore the wonders of Ethiopia, whether that is a day at Green Crater Lake, hanging out Addis Ababa (a city dating back to ancient times), or shopping in local markets.
You will meet not only natives of the culture in which you are ministering, but also other international teams, missionaries, and students who are as far from home as yourself.
Share your faith with people your age in peer-to-peer relational ministry while doing things like planting trees, painting, or other light hands-on projects.
God is calling you to journey with Him, to share His love with the nations and establish His Kingdom on earth. Will you join Him in Ethiopia?

The growing and maturing Church needs co-laborers and partners in areas such as training, Bible translation, reaching the last remaining un-evangelized groups and especially in holistic ministry – health, agriculture, education and community development.
