Though the smallest country in Central America, El Salvador is one of the most beautiful.
With its ancient Mayan ruins, pristine surf beaches, and stunning national parks, this nation is quickly becoming a favorite tourist destination.
Not everything is perfect in paradise, however. At least 20% of El Salvadorians live in other countries. Many have fled due to a steady increase in gang activity and violence, and those left behind face extreme poverty due to lack of economic opportunity.
The people of El Salvador are hungry for hope, and you can help our local partners in San Salvador give it to them.
You'll be working with our local ministry partners to love one of the communities that they've "adopted". In the mornings, you'll run a feeding ministry, make lunch for the children of the community, build relationships by doing home visits, and even some community service work.
In the afternoons, you'll visit a local university, pray for the sick at area hospitals, and distribute Bibles.
El Salvador literally means “the Savior”, and its people are looking for just that.
