Pastors: You want your youth group to feel like they matter. You want them to feel significant, empowered, and for their lives to count for something. You read about the way the followers of Jesus lived in the first century, and you long for that kind of life -- where living out your faith means hearing the voice of God and changing people’s lives.
You want to take your youth to the next level with God. You want changed lives.
Adventures in Missions has taken more than 115,000 people on mission trips around the world. Through various short and long-term programs, Adventures In Missions helps people from all walks of life discover the world, who Jesus is, and what Jesus has called them to: making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28) and being his witnesses to the ends of the earth (Acts 1).
Imagine experiencing firsthand how to listen to the voice of God, serve others in high-need ministry contexts, and make a real, tangible difference in the lives of others.
If you want to join a Christ-centered community committed to doing what the first generation of disciples did, then it’s time for you to join us in...
Costa Rica is an adventurer's paradise, known for its stunning beaches and beautiful rainforests. Outside of the tourist destinations, however, are large pockets of poverty and family brokenness throughout the nation. The people of Costa Rica need to remember the unchanging love of Jesus—and that it is still real and relevant to their lives.
While in Costa Rica, you will stay in a beach town and partner with a local ministry, where you will do:
Beach Ministry: Ministry to the local surfers as well as connecting them with a local church.
Work Projects: Helping with light construction where needed.
Community Outreach: Sharing God's love through conversation, relationships, and acts of kindness wherever you go.
(Check out this video for a message from our ministry contacts!)
God is calling you to journey with Him, to share His love with the nations and establish His Kingdom on earth. Will you join Him in Costa Rica?
Pray for Costa Rica
The Roman Catholic Churchis deeply impacted by charismatic renewal. Many have come to a living, personal faith in Christ, which has strengthened the Catholic Church (higher mass attendance, more indigenous seminarians and priests). Although 73% of the nation is Catholic, this percent declines every year, and most Catholics are quite nominal in their faith. From the charismatic renewal, many left the Catholic Church for evangelical churches; however, large and increasing numbers of “post-evangelicals” have returned to the familiarity and structure of Catholicism. Pray for both charismatics who stayed in the Catholic Church and those who have returned – may their faith bring further renewal to the mainstream of Catholicism.
