Guatemala (Medical Missions)
Adventures Base Mission Trip
Adventures in Missions has taken more than 115,000 people on mission trips around the world. Through various short and long-term programs, Adventures helps people from all walks of life discover the world, who Jesus is, and what He has called them to: making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28) and being His witnesses to the ends of the earth (Acts 1).
You want to do something that matters. You want to feel empowered and to make an impact on the world around you. You read about the way the followers of Jesus lived in the first century, and something in you is longing to do more – to live out your faith, hear the voice of God, and display His love to those who need it.
You want to use the skills and talents God has blessed you with. Do you work in a medical field? Have you considered a medical mission trip? Adventures in now offering two incredible opportunities to serve the world in a unique and impactful way.
We have trips set up for medical, dental, and vision outreach. You will be working alongside others with a similar passion to help those who otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity for quality care. Please consider joining us on one of these trips.
Imagine experiencing firsthand how to listen to the voice of God, serve others in high-need ministry contexts, and make a real difference in the lives of others.
If you want to join a Christ-centered community committed to sharing the opportunity for quality health care, then it’s time for you to join us in…
Known as "The Land of Eternal Spring", Guatemala is rich in natural beauty — from the shores of Lake Atitlan, to the peaks of its 37 volcanoes, this Central American nation is one of the most beautiful in the world. This is a country where Adventures has an established base. But the true beauty of Guatemala is its people. Guatemala is one of the most evangelical countries in the world and has the potential to be a mission sending nation, they just need to be empowered. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside local believers working to bring the Word of Christ to a new generation. Gripped by poverty, the people of Guatemala hunger for the Kingdom of God. Will you serve the people of Guatemala?
October 5-12, 2019 [Medical] November 2-9 2019 [Medical, Dental, Vision] February 1-8, 2020 [Medical, Dental]
Each trip will provide participants the chance to meet the physical medical needs of hundreds of Guatemalan people that otherwise couldn't afford it. Based on the participant’s skill set they could be helping with registration, ministering to families, triage, tending to patients, dispensing medication, praying for those around, ect.
Medical experience is helpful but not required, we are looking for people with a heart to serve and love on people.
On Medical Trips you will treat infections, skin conditions, common stomach issues, general pain, hypertension, diabetes, and respiratory conditions every day in clinic. On Dental Trips you will care for patients in need of extractions and treating abscesses.
The team will also provide general health education for every patient during community education classes and specific education at the provider stations to help patients prevent future illness.
Your team will stay at our Adventures Guatemala base with bunk beds, showers, and bathrooms. Electricity and spotty wifi are available. Meals will be prepared by cooks at the base, and you will have access to clean water.
God is calling you to journey with Him, to share His love with the nations and establish His Kingdom on earth. Will you join Him in Guatemala?
Pray for Guatemala
For over twenty years Adventures has been sending short-term teams to serve the church in Guatemala. Now, we’re taking the next step of our investment into the Guatemalan church through the base. Adventures Guatemala comes alongside pastors and church leaders through discipleship, community development and activation of the local church to establish God’s Kingdom. We desire to see the men, women, and children of Guatemala reconciled to the love of God the Father, living out their God-given purposes.
